Heather trained
at the Skating Club of Boston under the direction of Thomas
McGinnis, former World and Olympic Coach and PSA holder of 8 Masters
ratings. In addition, she has trained with:

Botticelli, former World team and Olympic pairs competitor

Heather has been teaching
for 5+ in the Phoenix area and is the Skating Director here at Arcadia
Ice Arena
Heather was a successful singles competitor at the junior and
senior levels and performer until she moved on to attending Northeastern
University where she graduated with a BS in Psychology in May of 2002.
She is a current USFSA member as well as a PSA Master Rated member.
Heather relocated to Phoenix to complete coursework in Sport Psychology
and has recently received a Masters in Occupational Therapy. Her
immediate objective is to teach group, semi-private, and private
instruction to aspiring figure skaters; to assist the students with
setting goals, and achieve their personal best. Her long-term objective
is to assist figure skaters in overcoming competition anxiety and
stresses that are detrimental to their performance both on and off the
ice. She also plans to use her OT degree to help prevent overuse and
other types of sport related injuries.
